The main target audience of the trade industry is mainly families with young children and adolescents, as vaccination may take many more weeks if not beyond Whereas children and adolescents under the age of 16 are not eligible for the vaccine at all, so they will not be eligible for a green passport. How does the intention be to conduct sensible and economic trade which also collapses under the strict limits of the purple character, given that such a restriction can no longer be borne? Restrictions! ” (Orna Yefet)

8:30 – Vaccine Discrimination: Hospital contractor workers were not vaccinated for Corona
They are in hospitals for long hours, moving from room to room with a rag and mop and cleaning to protect patients and medical staff from life-threatening infections. But while hospital workers were the first to be vaccinated against Corona – contractor workers remained out of the vaccination operation. In this campaign 6,000 workers have been left exposed and are at increased risk of contracting the plague from hospital and HMO patients.
In this vaccination policy, the Ministry of Health perpetuates the class gaps between contractor workers and hospital workers. In response to a request from the organization of cleaning companies to the Ministry of Health, the ministry stated that it is not obligatory to vaccinate hospital contractors – although they are exposed to patients and infected with the corona virus no less than other workers: doctors, nurses and receptionists.

“A contractor who is not part of the hospital’s staff is only allowed to be vaccinated if he works in the Corona ward,” the Ministry of Health said in a reply. The ministry clarified that the contractor employees who will be vaccinated are those who work at the hospital on a regular basis. But once there is a shortage of manpower the contractor workers move to the required place – so most of them work in more than one hospital. These, as the firm’s response indicates, will not be vaccinated.
“During the Corona period, cleaning workers work in hospitals, health funds, schools and other vital workplaces, and by virtue of their job, they meet dozens and even hundreds of people a day,” wrote the director of the cleaning companies’ organization, Adv. Veronica Rosenberg, and the organization’s chairman Adv. Ilan Shimoni.
“Working cleaning workers need their work for the most basic existence. In view of the ongoing exposure of cleaning workers to the general public and we change daily, we demand that they be immediately included among the populations eligible for vaccination and vaccinated en masse – the first will be those employed in vital workplaces.” To work with the return from quarantine. “
As stated, in response, the ministry replied that there is no obligation to vaccinate the contractor’s workers and added that: “The Exceptions Committee forwarded its recommendation to the Immunization Committee and asked to include the cleaning teams in the following priority groups.”
Hospital officials confirm that most of the contractor’s workers were not vaccinated. “This was a question that came up in our discussions before the start of the vaccination campaign,” says a senior official at one of the largest hospitals in the country. “Indeed there is no such obligation, but at our hospital the management has decided to vaccinate everyone, including the contractor’s workers.”
7:45 – Monday in a row with more than 9,000 new contagious
9,025 Israelis were diagnosed yesterday (Tuesday) as positive for the corona virus. Data from the Ministry of Health show that in the past day, about 125,000 tests were performed and the positive rate is 7.2%.
1,760 corona patients are hospitalized in hospitals across the country, 1,043 of them in critical condition. 262 patients connected to respirators.
Since the outbreak of the plague, 3,770 corona patients have died in Israel – 26 of them yesterday. 99 patients have died since the beginning of the week and 428 since the beginning of the month. For comparison, 481 corona patients died each December and 313 in November.
The number of active patients has reached a peak and stands at 78,215. In Jerusalem 15,491 active patients, in Bnei Brak 4,178, in Modi’in Illit 3,214, in Beit Shemesh 2,416, in Tel Aviv-Yafo 2,164, in Petah Tikva 2,097, in Haifa 2,004, in Ashdod 1,883, in Beitar Illit 1,643, in Elad 1,392, in Netanya 1,233, in Holon 1,108, in Benzar 1,108, 1,084, in Rishon Lezion 995, Rehovot 862, Ramat Gan 795, Ashkelon 757, Ramla 686, Bat Yam 681, Kiryat Gat 602, Lod 589 and Safed 526.
Given the morbidity figures that are still high, the Ministry of Health is expected to request an extension of the closure for at least a week. However, discussions of the exit strategy from it have already begun. Initial discussions on the subject indicate that the outline will be implemented in three beats – first education along with the abolition of the distance limit and the resumption of flights. Only at the end of the process, in the third beat, are restaurants and gyms supposed to open.
In the last two days, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has held two discussions on the exit plan and on the issue of the green passport that will be given to those vaccinated against the corona virus. Another hearing will probably be held this coming Thursday.
So far, the exit indices have been 1,000 verified per day and the infection rate is lower than 1, but this time the number of vaccinators joins. Health officials will want to understand the impact of vaccines on the one hand, and on the two mutations – the British and the South African – on the other.
The main figure will probably be the number of vaccinated versus the number of patients, which affects the number of patients whose condition is serious – and thus the functioning of the hospitals and the entire health system. After receiving these data, the date of entry into force of the “green passport” will be determined. It should be noted that the same planned first beat will not be related to the passport, as the opening of the education system and shops.
