Mokoko has become the youngest scorer in the Bundesliga

At the age of 16 and 28 days, Yusufa Mokoku became tonight (Friday) the youngest conqueror in the history of the Bundesliga. Borussia Dortmund’s young talent scored his team’s only goal in a 2-1 loss to Berlin against Union, in a game that opened the 13th round in Germany.

Taiwan Avenai scored first for Union in the 57th minute, but three minutes later Dortmund’s reaction came. Losing a ball in part of the host’s court led to a great depth delivery by Rafael Guerrero. Mokoko, like a true scorer, sent a missile from a hard angle into the net.

For those who forgot, on November 22, at the age of 16 and today, Mokoko became the youngest player to play in the Bundesliga and everyone in Dortmund predicted a rosy future for him. Why? So like that, Mokoko has played until last month for four years in the youth leagues in Germany, and is always a partner in teams with players older than him. His peak season was 2018/19. In 25 games the prodigy scored 46 goals and netted eight.

Only he finished this evening with a sour-sweet taste. 12 minutes to the end Marvin Friedrich subdued Roman Burki and raised Union to fifth in the table with 21 points, one less than Dortmund.
