Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s best friend, billionaire Sheldon Adelson, will donate five million dollars to the Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump’s campaign. This was reported by CNN.
A source close to Adelson said he intends to donate a total of $ 45 million in the upcoming election.
Adelson will donate $ 20 million to Republicans running for the Senate, another $ 20 million to Republicans running for the House of Representatives, and the remaining five million will be given to Donald Trump.
Unlike a significant portion of Republican Jews who strongly oppose Trump, Adelson announced in May that he would support him and called on other Jewish donors to do the same.
The New York Times then reported that Adelson intends to donate $ 100 million to Trump. It is not happening yet, but according to the JTA news agency, it is “unknown” whether Adelson intends to give more money before the election.
Trump and Adelson have met several times since May, and were even photographed together at the Republican convention in July.
