Missed 3rd place: Frankfurt lost to Berman

The 23rd round of the Bundesliga opened tonight (Friday), in which Frankfurt hosted a not-so-simple away game against Werder Bremen and lost 2: 1. The red-blacks could temporarily move up to 3rd place and be only 4 points away from the leader Bayern Munich, but lost an advantage on the way to a loss.

Frankfurt is the one that started excellently and took the lead already in the 9th minute, when Philip Kostic cooked for the excellent Andre Silva who continued in top form and went up to 20 goals in all competitions this season. But in the second half Werder Bremen woke up and equalized in the 47th minute.

Theodore Jabra Selassi scored the equalizer and gave renewed hope to the Greens, who sought to open a safe distance from the bottom and even did so. After heavy pressure, within 15 minutes the long-awaited turnaround was achieved! Max Egstein found Joshua Sergeant who allowed and completed a huge turnaround for Florian Kohfeldt’s side, who opened an 8-point gap from the red line.
