Microsoft has a password manager that supports Edge

Microsoft is launching a password manager, which offers an alternative to that of Google, as well as standalone products such as LastPass or 1Password. The service secures passwords for websites and applications securely, using biometric means if these exist on the device. This way you can reduce the damage that may be caused by leaking information: Using a different password for each site, ensures that one hack will not allow access to all accounts.

The innovation, compared to Google’s equivalent service, is in the support that Microsoft also offers for software products and platforms beyond its control. This way, passwords can be saved and synchronized between the Edge browser and the Chrome browser, as well as on Android or iOS-based smartphones. Microsoft Password Manager will offer to complete passwords in virtually any application, as long as it recognizes it in the saved passwords and accounts database.

The service is currently available in an open beta version. To get an impression of it, you can download the Microsoft Authenticator app for Android and iOS devices, and the Microsoft Autofill plugin for Chrome, which also allows you to sync passwords to Google’s browser. In the Edge browser, the password manager is already built-in and should allow quick access to all saved passwords after logging in to the Microsoft account. Please note that in accounts that are not personal and managed by the employer, his consent is required in order to be able to use the new password manager.
