Microsoft on Monday introduced the Surface Pro 7+ for Business, a version of the Surface Pro 7 turntable from 2019 designed for commercial and educational customers. It comes with a new Intel processor and a cellular connection so you can get online when you don’t have Wi-Fi. The basic model costs $ 899, and LTE versions start at $ 1,149.
Surface revenue growth accelerated in the second and third quarters as people rushed to buy PCs to continue school and work while staying home. However, Microsoft’s grip on the PC hardware market is still smaller than Apple, Dell, HP and Lenovo.
The advent of PC shows that Microsoft is doing more testing with its Surface lineup, using a plus sign to mark the product, as did competing computer maker Apple, for the first time.
Surface’s conventional concept was discontinued in 2012, under former CEO Steve Ballmer. Satya Nadella replaced Ballmer as CEO in 2014 and over time reduced Microsoft’s focus on consumers, such as leaving the e-book and music streaming markets. Now there is a Surface model that is just for business users.
Normally, every Microsoft fall comes with a new Surface Pro, but this fall, as a coronavirus pandemic affected supply chains for devices like Microsoft ‘s iPhone 12 and Xbox Series X, autumn came and it went without Surface Pro 8. A speaker declined to comment on Microsoft’s roadmap.
Surface Pro 7+ for Microsoft Business does not come with an accessible keyboard; that accessory is sold separately.

And yet, the Surface Pro 7+ for Business looks almost exactly like the Surface Pro versions of previous years. That’s deliberate.
“We promised commercial customers in terms of form factor continuity,” said Robin Seiler, Microsoft’s corporate vice president. Owners of Surface Pro have told the company that design changes such as even microphone movement can cause complexity, Seiler said.
Seiler would not say whether the new album would be launched for users.
The device offers up to a terabyte of storage, along with up to 32GB of RAM, a memory supply that can also be found on the Surface Book 3 The Surface Pro 7+ for Business also includes a state-of-the-art driver. -accessible, a feature that first surfaced the Surface Pro X in 2019.
Microsoft claims that the battery will last as long as 15 hours, making it the equivalent of the Surface Pro X version of the Arm-based chip. The standard Surface Pro 7 comes with up to 10.5 hours of battery life.
