Michael Chandler thinks it could be a “nightmare” for Conor McGregor in the UFC

Michael Chandler has said his defensive and brutal strength can be a “nightmare” for Conor McGregor. The newly signed UFC star believes he will succeed well against the Irishman if given the chance to fight.

Chandler, 34, is a three-time Bellator lightweight champion who signed with the UFC in September last year. He was also a backup fighter for the main UFC 254 event between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje.

In a recent interview with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, Chandler said it could be a nightmare for UFC lightweight champion McGregor.

“We’re seeing the best version of Conor McGregor (vs. Dustin Poirier). Of course, I want my name in that story, of course, I want my name to be connected to the ( name) his, of course, I want that possible Do I think I match really well against conor? Absolutely. With my guarded background, as well as the power of my hands, a as well as my ability to mix the strike with the takedowns, as well as my ability to push the pace, I think. I have a nightmare for Conor, “Chandler said.

Chandler noted that his view of McGregor has changed over the years and that the Irish fighter will be at his best against Poirier in the upcoming fight.
