A meteor first seen over the north of England appears to have traveled more than 40,000 miles per hour before being shot down, experts say.
NASA Meteor Watch says the bright fireball was seen just before 5:40 pm Sunday over Mount Mansfield State Forest in Vermont. He traveled 33 miles before firing up across Orleans County.
