‘The royal family would have done their best to help her and they would have tried.’

Elsewhere, former Buckingham Palace Press Officer Dickie Arbiter called the Sussexes’ future statement ‘petulant, rude and immature’.

The Queen’s decision to withdraw the royal support of Harry and Meghan began with the fact that ‘public service life’ is inconsistent with the couple’s lucrative new American career prompting a sharp response from the Sussexes.

The royal couple said that ‘universal service’, which Royal stores called ‘extremely disrespectful’ and ‘you can’t stretch your pockets while doing official duties’.

The Royals are asked to beat Harry and Meghan back at the Palace in an interview with Oprah Winfrey – who flew into California on her £ 50million private pier and was with the couple an hour before they released their statement.

‘They’re not going to waste the Royal Family, because it’s useless to them,’ said Dickie Arbiter. ‘So they’ll talk about the’ suits ‘, like the officers didn’t support them.’

‘They will talk confidently about what they are aiming to achieve; they talk about family life, babies, and motherhood. They talk about the British media because that sticks to how fair they are. ‘

Jobson said: ‘The statement they sent out after they left was rude! In fact, they were given a lot of slabs, but they were not wrong at all with the Queen and the Royal Family. ‘

Royal Vanity Fair author and journalist Katie Nicholl also told the program: ‘I think the Palace felt cautious about the pregnancy announcement [and] Oprah publication.

It was clear that the Sussex’s acted as a machine in their own right – they did not work with the Palace.

”[Buckingham Palace] have made up their minds. They did not need it until March 31 to make that statement.

My understanding from the sources I spoke to at the Palace was that it would [release it] earlier and end all this profiteering. ‘

Speaking of the shocking move to interview Oprah Winfrey after asking for a more private life, Jobson also accused the couple of ‘keeping an eye on the Royal Family at all times. ‘

‘Let’s be clear, the reason they’re doing Oprah is to promote their brand and get as much attention as possible because that’s the power of the buck,’ he said.

‘The reason they talk about their private lives is because they need to make sure their brand is high and highly visible in America. ‘

Speaking on the program as well, daughter of Dickie Arbiter, royal correspondent Victoria Arbiter said: ‘This is Meghan and Harry trying to win over and win Americans. ‘

Minutes later, the seemingly desperate Sussexes slammed the Queen, demanding that they still ‘live a life of service’ outside the royal complex. They said: ‘Service is universal.’

In their statement on 20 February, Buckingham Palace said: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have assured Her Majesty The Queen that they will not be returning as working members of the Royal Family.

‘Following discussions with the duke, The Queen has written to confirm that it is not possible to continue the work of the Royal Family with duties and responsibilities that come with public service life.

The honorary military offices and royal assurances of the Duke and Duchess are therefore returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among the working members of the Royal Family. ‘

They said: ‘While they are all saddened by their decision, the Duke and Duchess hold the family in high esteem.’

Four minutes later a spokesman for the Sussexes said: ‘As can be seen from their work over the past year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain committed to their role and service to the UK and worldwide, and have offered the ongoing support to the organizations they represent regardless of their official role.

‘We can all spend a life of service. Service is universal. ‘
