The Dimensity 1200 and Dimensity 1100 chips are similarly built, with an 8-core processor in a 4 + 4 configuration, divided into 4 Cortex-A78 cores with a frequency of 2.6GHz, while in the 1200 model one of the performance cores is defined as a “Prime” core and comes at a high frequency More of 3.0GHz. The performance cores are joined by 4 cost-effective 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 cores, and on the graphics side you can find the Mali-G77 MC9 accelerator in both chips. While the graphics core remains the same as the previous generation, the move to the Cortex-A78 cores brings with it a 22% processor performance improvement and 25% power saving compared to the previous generation.
