Brooks Koepka doesn’t seem to be returning anytime soon, and a return for next month ‘s Masters Tour looks more dubious.
Koepka posted a collage of photos to Twitter Sunday afternoon, including an image of his right knee on his band, one of Koepka on luggage and another of the golfers on an anti-gravity treadmill.
He then confirmed to Golfweek via email that he had surgery on his right knee on March 16th.
“Whatever my body says, I’m going to listen,” he told Golfweek about his Master’s status.
The top four-time winner has not played since tying for second place at the WGC-Workday Tournament earlier this month. He withdrew from the Players with a “tight right knee,” according to his agent, who said the Koepka, who had previously fought on left and hip injury for much of the previous two years. , “consulting further with doctors … to gain an assessment and a broader perspective.”
Koepka told Golfweek that he was diagnosed with “proper knee cap removal and ligament damage. ”
