MODOK Marvel is currently gearing up towards its May 21 release date on Hulu, slamming with a mix of hhigh-profile comedy voice acting, Robot Chicken-hòn animation, and some of Marvel ‘s deadliest weirdos designed for killing only. And although we understand that a lot of Marvel TV projects out there right now, we have to admit that we were captivated by the look of today ‘s WonderCon @ Home show – and especially by crumb presented by co-creator of the series Jordan Blum, which features an updated, mad-science-y spinning on a classic trope: The Wizard’s Duel (i.e., two super-powerful men throwing weapons / spells / knives / knives at each other to one of which they cease or die.)

(If the embedded timer is not working properly, the cookie-cutter will start at around the 36-minute mark.)

In this case, we seethrown between MODOK titular Patton Oswalt and his former rival Monica Rappaccini (Wendi McLendon-Covey), aka Supreme Scientist AIM. The end result is a indeed a little effective training in reducing ponds, as the two experts fight with a set of weapons, anti-weapons, poisons, antidotes and, again, knives. This is a real selling point for the series – as was news of some of the guest who was invited for it today, including the hinfo that Jon Hamm will play the series’ version of Iron Man, Bill Hader will play the part of Guy-we-always-skipped-over-in-the-Essential-Handbook-Of-The-Marvel-Universe Angarr The Screamer, and (in a call back to Defenders of the Galaxy Vol. 2) Nathan Fillion finally getting into Wonder Man.

MODOK Marvel landing on Hulu on May 21st. Make the explosion explode clone babies and unlikely animal friends.
