Signal has seen an increase in downloads following a change in WhatsApp’s privacy terms, which forced WhatsApp users to share their data with both Facebook Inc and Instagram.
Users may see signs of errors in some conversations as a side effect of the behavior, but they will be resolved in the next update of the app, the company bit.ly/3im0aQ1 said in a tweet.
The error does not affect the cat’s security, the company said.
The Silicon Valley-based nonprofit Signal Foundation, which currently oversees the app, was launched in February 2018 by Brian Acton, who co-founded WhatsApp before selling it to Facebook, which provided initial funding of $ 50 million.
