There are plenty of Serre reconstituted silk scarves, wrapped around black black dresses, accessed with talismanic metal belts and bags with petite chain straps, while other scarves were worked into tunics and tees. Stock leather in shades of black, tan and brown is graphically embossed, with an anthropomorphic feel – dynamics as clothing moves with the body was a big obsession here – into square-shouldered blazers, biker pants, and jeans-style jackets. , sometimes topped with short dresses made out of old tablecloths.
At the same time, moire silk, one of Serre’s signatures, makes a cut-out look on jackets that are either carved close to the body, or cut in MA1 style, with a cool, easy-to-feel feel and the necessary zippered sleeves. Now, more than ever, we are caught at the crossroads of action and fantasy, looking for pieces that can offer a way to simultaneously go off on all sides without having to feeling one way or the other. “It was interesting to review what we had already done,” Serre said. “Basically, the aim was to bring more real life to our design process, to bring clothes into everyday life. ”Her solution was to ask the team to try things out, give the feedback, then change to make everything more resilient. The website also features a humorous series of wall-mounted flight pictures of those within the extended Serre label family, wearing a few of the pieces, and engaging with the humdrum facts known to the -everyone of us. “Cooking, spending time with your mother, in the garden, playing with your dog … pleasures that are simple,” Serre said, describing the sights. “Fashion has always been about dreaming, and I don’t like that. Here, fashion is the last thing you see. They are the people you see first. ”Serre’s thinking about the site is similar to the way she thinks about her designs.
