A man has been charged with allegedly sending a suspicious package to a coronavirus vaccine production facility in north Wales.
The suspicious package had arrived at a production facility in Wrexham on Wednesday. The plant is used to put the AstraZeneca vaccine in filters.

After reporting the suspicious package, the plant was partially emptied and work stopped for a while. Several hours of work disruption were reported as authorities had to await an assessment from the bomb disposal units.
The North Wales Police department said a team from the Royal Logistics Corp had “attended and inspected the package to ensure it was safe to handle”.

The contents of the package will be removed for further detailed analysis, although it was determined through initial inspection that the item was not a working device.
A 53-year-old Kent man has been charged by local media with being charged with sending this package to the facility.
Anthony Collins has now appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court where he was charged with putting the package in a way that led everyone to believe it was going to explode. He was now detained.
