Madar. Captain VS Club (Omri Stein)
Hapoel Tel Aviv captain, Sea Madar, Filed an arbitration suit with the Arbitration Institution of the Basketball Association against the club. As part of the lawsuit, Madar demands a free release at the end of the season. According to the lawsuit, Hapoel Tel Aviv is demanding $ 700,000 to release him. As you may recall, Madar was selected in October by the Boston Celtics in the NBA Draft, but returned to play for the Reds.
Response on behalf of Yam Madar through his attorney, Adv. Roi Rosen: “Recently, Yam Madar’s representatives filed, without choice, and after many attempts to settle the issue, a lawsuit for arbitration against representatives of the Hapoel Tel Aviv team. “To order his release from the team at the end of the current season without any conditions or restriction or financial demand from him, in accordance with the existing contractual framework between the parties.”
“In view of the outrageous and surprising decision of the club’s representatives to withdraw from the clear and signed agreements with the player and continue to condition the termination of the contract with monetary consideration, the player’s representatives are forced to bring his case before the Arbitration Institute, through attorneys Roi Rosen and Eran Neumann. “They will agree to his transfer at the end of the current season unless the club receives a total of $ 700,000. The demand of the club’s representatives is in stark contrast to the agreements that existed and were signed between the player and the club’s representatives.”
“The player’s representatives worked for many months to reach an agreement with the club’s representatives in order to avoid the misunderstanding and save the mental anguish and publicity involved in such a procedure, but the club’s representatives refused any arrangement and referred the player to the arbitration institution. Yam Madar does not intend to remove even a bit of his determination to the club’s success and bring it to the highest achievements. Yam Madar will continue to represent the club in every sporting event or other with the high quality and dedication that characterize its conduct so far and the arbitration will not detract from its love for the club and its desire for its success. “
