After surprising and deciding to try and attach a surprising purchase in the form of TJ Klein, Maccabi Tel Aviv discovered that the road there is not as simple as she thought. This morning (Wednesday), Sportando reported that Brescia piled difficulties on the Yellows and refused their first offer. At this point, talks between the parties continue.
According to the report, it should be noted that Maccabi Tel Aviv did not say the last word and developments on the subject are expected to take place later in the day. Sandro Santoro, the general manager of Brescia, confirmed that Klein is indeed on his way to Maccabi. “Klein after the offer he received from Maccabi,” he told journalist Emiliano Carcia.
As you may recall, Maccabi checked whether they would not have to pay a fine to Klein under the Citizens’ Law. Last summer, it was decided to freeze the law, which stipulated that a citizen who has been playing in the country for less than 3 years must be fined NIS 200,000. Under the moratorium, the fine will apply only to those who have received citizenship starting in July 2020.
Klein, a graduate of Richmond College, is the son of legendary basketball player Nancy Lieberman. He started his career in Europe in Glatsarei, but after only 5 games he moved to Hapoel Holon and played in the media in the last two years with averages of 12.9 points and 6.3 rebounds last season.
