Lotteries of 300 housing units at a price per occupant – real estate

The lottery for about 300 housing units as part of the ‘Price per occupant’ program has opened for registration, according to the new policy in the Ministry of Construction and Housing, the lottery will open only after receiving a building permit or conditions and in order to shorten the waiting time.

Construction areas:
Beer Sheva – 83 housing units, Emanuel – 58 housing units, Kiryat Shmona – 26 housing units, Jisr a-Zarqa – 72 housing units, Nazareth – 44 housing units. These housing units will be added to about 80,000 units Housing that has already been drawn under the “price per occupant” program in about 90 different localities (out of about 100,000 housing units that have been successfully marketed to contractors). Currently, more than 65,000 housing units have a full building permit or committee decision (permit conditions).

Before celebrating, just remember that not every lottery of the state has winners, it takes the state more than enough years to approve the apartments for construction and beyond – these are cumulative numbers and not annual data, so the shortage of housing supply continues to be severe And housing prices continue to rise, when last night the Bank of Israel published its mortgage data for February, according to which the public took out new mortgages of NIS 7.3 billion last month, a continued increase of about 20% compared to the same month last year. The percentage of loan deferrals continues to decrease and stood at about 7% (NIS 29.5 billion). The average mortgage amount: NIS 800,000.

In light of the decision to hold a lottery only after obtaining a permit or a committee decision on the conditions, the process of selecting the apartments in the various projects is expected to begin in the coming weeks. Registration for the lottery will be open for two weeks and will close on 7/4/2021 and the results of the lottery are expected to be delivered to the winners during the month of April. In some localities in this lottery, grants are given to buyers, in the amount of NIS 40,000 or NIS 60,000.

Ariel Rosenberg, Head of Senior Marketing: “The Ministry of Construction and Housing continues to publish lotteries and promote affordable housing plans for young and homeless couples. In accordance with the policy decision made about a year ago, I welcome the start of this new era. The winners of the various projects “The apartments and the moment of signing the contract. In this way, they will also receive more significant information during the lottery process. In the lotteries that are published today, the process of selecting the apartments in the various projects is expected to begin in the coming weeks.”
