Ophir Marciano (Radad Jabara)

Ophir Marciano is looking for a new challenge. The 31-year-old goalkeeper will not continue in his Scottish team Hibernian, which he reached in 2016, his coach Jack Ross has confirmed. The team offered the Israeli a new contract, but the latter rejected the offer even though he has experienced one of his best seasons since arriving in Scotland.

“As for Ofir’s condition, he did not accept our offer to continue beyond his contract, which expires in the summer,” said his coach. Jack Ross“He talked about it openly with me, we offered him the best offer we could, but he is at a critical time in his career and has a young family and another child on the way and he believes his future is somewhere else.”

Ross added: “I appreciate that he spoke to me openly, because it will allow us to plan the summer when he is not with us. “At the moment he is strongly focused on helping us finish in third place in the league, it will not affect him.” Marciano has kept a clean sheet 12 times this season out of 26 games he has played.
