Beginning of an article

The week of Washington and Danny Abdia in New York kicks off. Even before they meet the Knicks twice at Madison Square Garden, The Wizards are hosted at Brooklyn Center in Brooklyn (Live broadcast on 5SPORT), Hoping to continue the momentum from last Thursday’s impressive win over Utah. Despite the differences in the Eastern table (2nd place vs. 12), it is precisely the Nets who are looking to recover tonight after the surprising 121: 113 loss to Orlando (Kyrie Irving sniped 43 points).

Abdia, like the Israeli audience, remembers the Barclays Center well. On December 13, the Israeli made his first game there in the American campaign (pre-season), then scored 15 points on 100% from the field. The second time he came to the home of the stars in black and white, and the first in the regular season, Abdia finished with just 3 points but the team from the capital came out with an amazing 122: 123 thanks to a winning basket by Thomas Bryant.

The second official meeting of the season between the teams also provided no small drama, with Washington winning 146: 149 at the end of a crazy game that included two consecutive threes by Bradley Bill and Russell Westbrook in the closing seconds. Abdia, by the way, finished the same fight with only 2 points. Whoever missed this drama due to a minor injury, and of course the first game between the sides, is James Harden.

Harden, who is marked as one of the contenders to win the MVP title, was able to upgrade Brooklyn’s star battery as well as himself. Steve Nash’s quarterback puts up simply wonderful averages in Brooklyn, of 25.4 points per game alongside 8.9 rebounds and 11.4 assists. Tonight he will get an interesting boost in the character of Blake Griffin, who will make his debut. Kevin Durant on the other hand will also be absent from this game, as will Davis Bartans at Scott Brooks.

the progress of the game:
Brooklyn quintet: James Harden, Kyrie Irving, Joe Harris, Jeff Green and Diandra Jordan.
Washington quintet: Russell Westbrook, Bradley Bill, Garrison Matthews, Roy Hachimura and Alex Lenn.

After a dunk by Diandra Jordan who opened the tackle, the Wizards responded with a 0:10 run led by Russell Westbrook who also came in sharp this time. The quarterback was in charge of almost all of the visitors’ points, thanks to two consecutive assists that led to threes by Hachimura and Matthews – Washington found itself in a 6:20 lead, and here already Steve Nash had to call the first timeout in the match.

04:37 minutes to the end of the first quarter, Abdia came off the bench at Brooks and Blake Griffin made his debut for the Hunts, and of course won applause from the local crowd. Griffin provided a nice block on Bill during Brooklyn’s 0-9 run, and the difference dropped to just two. At the end of the quarter Washington led 25:30.

If Westbrook was the one to storm open the first quarter, in the second quarter it was the turn of his Oklahoma City friend James Harden. The bearded man recorded a personal 0: 9 run that set 30:34 for Brooklyn. Abdia went down to the bench after eight minutes on the floor in which he missed twice and recorded a plus-minus 15-.

The Nets did not take their foot off the gas, Harris sniped two quick threes and the home team’s advantage jumped to ten, 36:46. Brooklyn already led by 14 points, thanks in large part to Kyrie Irving, who also showed off his offensive arsenal. And at the break Brooklyn led 56:63. On the verge of the half James Harden (15 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists) was hit in the head. In the first half the Nets lost the ball four times, Washington 12 (Westbrook and Bill 11).

Harden reassured fans at Barclays by returning to the floor with the start of the second half, despite a head injury. His ability also testified that he was fine because the bearded man did not stop in the third quarter, and after the advantage stood at 70:82 Brooks asked for a necessary timeout. Abdia is not a partner in the third quarter, at the end of which Brooklyn led 83:88.

The fourth quarter opens with Blake Griffin’s first points in Brooklyn and first dunk since December 2019! Immediately afterwards Harden found Harris for a free three that again jumped the difference to double digits, 85:95. The Wizards did not raise a white flag and Bill’s six consecutive points shrank to 101: 98. Abdia, by the way, played early in the quarter but did not contribute.
