After two losses at the start of the NBA season, the Washington Wizards and Danny Abdia are looking for a debut win for the season at this time. The Israeli rookie and his friends host Orlando Magic again, they lost 130: 120 last night. Given the tight schedule, Russell Westbrook has been given a rest from Scott Brooks and he is not taking part in the rematch.
- 5 STARS Live: Washington and Abdia vs. Orlando
Due to an early offense problem he got into, Abdia got to play only about 15 minutes last night and provided 5 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Beyond that, over two games within the season – the rookie threatened the basket from the field only 4 times and has yet to miss. Now, in the absence of Westbrook, it is not inconceivable that Washington will also rely a little more on the offensive abilities of the 19-year-old Israeli.
In Westbrook’s absence, Raul Neto was placed in the position of quarterback by Brooks. The rest of the quintet remained the same: Bradley Bill, Danny Abdia, Isaac Bonga and Thomas Bryant. Roy Hachimura will continue to be absent and Ark Gordon is expected to get a little less minutes (due to congestion) on the other side.

the progress of the game:
The only change from yesterday in the quintet segment was Raul Neto. The Brazilian quarterback took Westbrook’s place and opened alongside Bradley Bill, Isaac Bonga, Danny Abdia and Thomas Bryant. Orlando stayed with Merkel Poltz, Owen Fournier, Dwayne Bacon, Aaron Gordon and Nikola Wojciech.
Washington opened the match wonderfully, and already in the first minutes rose to a double-digit advantage, 4:16. Neto took advantage of Westbrookโs absence with 6 quick points and assists (as against Brooklyn) for Abdia who sniped another three in the NBA. Later in the quarter he took another shot off the arc but after five straight baskets, he missed for the first time in his career.
Abdia continued to be involved and picked up all the rebounds usually belonging to Westbrook. He finished the first quarter with 3 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists including one for Robin Lopez who scored the weird basket of the night. Terence Ross, who scored 25 in the previous game, came off the bench and scored 11 points in 5 minutes that narrowed the gap To 35:29 to win Washington after 12 minutes.
Just like ya draw it up.
