After just two days ago celebrating with a light 75:98 over Bnei Herzliya, Maccabi Tel Aviv is currently hosting Menora Mivtachim in the Menorah Hall for a final game from the 14th round of the Winner Basket League in an attempt to continue the momentum and establish itself at the top.
The yellow team of Yannis Sapropoulos, who defeated Herzliya and forgot the 87:68 loss to Milan in the Euroleague, is already recording six consecutive victories in the league and is in first place in the table with an impressive balance of 12 wins compared to only 2 losses. Now, Maccabi wants to register another victory in order to arrive with momentum for the Euroleague game against Bayern Munich in Germany this coming Thursday.
On the other hand, Shai Saglovitch’s Purples are having a hard time this season and are ranked last in the table with a balance of only 2 wins compared to no less than 12 losses. Now, after losing 76:71 to Nes Ziona and 92:79 to Hapoel Gilboa / Galil in its last two games, Nahariya is trying to surprise the champion.
