The BBC has published a ‘memorandum for staff’ ahead of the upcoming sixth season of Line Of Duty, to announce the appointment of a new member of the team.

In a document circulated by the press office, the memo memoir sees Superintendent Ted Hastings – played by reconnaissance star Adrian Dunbar – announcing that DC Chloe Bishop (Shalom Brune-Franklin) is join the department to help with the forthcoming issue.

Filming for series six was postponed back in March 2020, before the team resumed work in September after a five-month hiatus due to the Covid crisis.

Speaking previously about the challenges of filming Lorraine, writer Jed Mercurio acknowledged that the filming process has been ‘difficult’ for those involved.

Saying that the team were ‘delighted’ to be able to film the sixth season of the BBC show, Jed explained: ‘It’s been really hard to be honest with you.
