Lewandowski: Messi and Ronaldo can have a chair at my table!

The Polish international feels his numbers with Bayern Munich in recent years stand up to scrutiny

Robert Lewandowski has suggested that his performance levels in recent years will stand up to scrutiny of the efforts of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

At 32, Lewandowski seems to have his best years behind him but he always talks about learning in an effort to change his game.

“When you do something again every day, you can only measure its impact three or six months later, not the next day. The problem is, a lot of people want to see what you do in an invisible job right away.

“Patience is an important factor, in football as in life.”

Lewandowski, a former Borussia Dortmund man, enters the Christmas and New Year holidays with his top of the Bundesliga side and through to the Champions League knockout stages, so it could be a challenge for top honors again in 2021.
