“Less than 0.1% of those vaccinated have contracted corona”

Maccabi HMO announced today (Thursday) that less than 0.1% of the recipients of the second vaccine dose were in Corona, and the effectiveness of the vaccine in Israel is 93%.

Data from the Information and Digital Health Division at Maccabi show that as of the last day, 544 people were infected out of 523,000 vaccinated who received the second dose of the vaccine. It was further reported that the vast majority of them suffer from mild symptoms or experience no symptoms at all.

The head of Maccabi’s health division, Dr. Miri Mizrahi-Reuveni: “The data unequivocally prove that the vaccine is very effective and we have no doubt that it has saved the lives of many Israelis. “Because there is an active disease among children and adolescents up to the age of 16 that cannot be vaccinated, and that the mutations of the virus are much more contagious, it means that those who do not get vaccinated – will be infected, sooner or later.”

“Anyone who has not been vaccinated so far – please hurry to make an appointment as soon as possible, protect yourself from a serious illness and God forbid death as well as the possibility that you will infect and endanger others. This is the personal and public responsibility of each and every one of us during this difficult time,” she added.
