Legend: Ronaldo’s way of making history

Beginning of an article

The legendary story called Cristiano Ronaldo records another historical chapter: his becoming the greatest conqueror of all time. The Portuguese scored his 760th goal of his career in the Super Cup against Napoli, thus overtaking Josef Bitzan and rising a single place to first place. Where else will he be arrested?

Ronaldo broke almost every possible record in his career, became with hard work one of the greatest players of all time (some claim he is also the greatest of them all) and now also signed one of the most prestigious records in world football. Just last month he passed Pele, now also leaving Bitsan behind and currently only Leo Messi can challenge CR7 as he is 41 goals away from him (719).

And how symbolic that the 760th goal in Ronaldo’s career will be one that will lead to the title. CR7 broke the ice in Juventus’ 0-2 win over Napoli in the Italian Super Cup and thus won the 31st title of his career. Although the Bianconeri are in a bad season in the Italian league (ten points away from the top), the Portuguese has at least made sure to give it his first title in 2020/21.

Apart from the record of official conquests of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo also holds the following records: the most goals in the Champions League, the most assists in the Champions League, the all-time Real Madrid goal king and the all-time Portugal top scorer. In general, he is the most active player with the most goals in national football.

And now, to the full numbers.

The following is the distribution of Cristiano’s goals throughout his career:
5 in Sporting Lisbon uniform
118 at Manchester United
450 for Real Madrid
85 for Juventus
102 in the Portugal national team uniform

And so came the goals of the Portuguese superstar: 488 on the right foot, 138 on the left foot and 131 with bumps; Cristiano found the net 133 times from the penalty spot, 57 times from a free kick and 569 goals were scored from a regular game.

Although he set a historic milestone, Cristiano chose to put the focus at the end on the team achievement: “We are very happy with the win, we showed a different approach after the bad performance against Inter. This is a very important title and we hope it will give us more confidence going forward.”

When Cristiano talks about the “continuation of the road” – he is mainly aiming for the league, where the situation of the “eternal” champion is not alarming. After years of control, Yuba suddenly finds herself only in fifth place and 10 points away from the summit. “Milan and Inter are very strong this year, but I believe we have what it takes to face them. It will be very difficult, but I believe winning the championship is still possible,” the star concluded.
