Beginning of an article

What a packed night of great basketball we had between Wednesday and Thursday in the NBA. On his 36th birthday, LeBron James excelled in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 107-112 victory over San Antonio, and along the way he raised his tally to 1,000 straight games with double digits. Brooklyn inflicted its first loss of the season to Atlanta, Miami defeated Milwaukee despite a triple-double by Yannis Antecompo, Luca Doncic provided a weak performance in Dallas ’loss to Charlotte and Boston also finished with a win. Full details here:

San Antonio (2: 2) – Los Angeles Lakers (2: 3) 121: 107
The Lakers came back to win on King James’ special day, and the day became even more special with his impressive landmark in the double-figures category. In doing so he moved even further away from Michael Jordan who is in second place in history in the amount of consecutive games (866) with 10+ points.

The visitors made their first escape during the second quarter, where the Spurs also lost coach Greg Popovich, who was sent off. The one who replaced him, the assistant Becky Trust, made quite a bit of history when she became the first woman to run an NBA game as their head coach. The team from LA is not interested, and the double-digit gap is maintained until the end. LeBron finished with 26 points, Dennis Schroeder (21) and Anthony Davis (20) assisted him. Jonata Murray (29) and Damar Druzen (23) stood out from the crowd.

Brooklyn (2: 3) – Atlanta (1: 3) 141: 145
The Nets inflicted their first loss of the season on the Hawks, and despite the result in the huge and close survey, this game was not dragged into overtime. To be honest, no team led by a double-digit margin, with Atlanta leading the way in most of the tackles, but in the final quarter allowing the host to take command. Kevin Durant excelled with 33 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists, Kyrie Irving (25) and Joe Harris (22) contributed their share. Trey Young (11 assists) and John Collins (10 rebounds) scored 30 each on the other side, Bogdanovic added 22. Danilo Glinari incidentally sprained his ankle, but did not appear to be out for an extended period.

Miami (2: 2) – Milwaukee (3: 2) 108: 119
Such a fickle game against two relatively equal teams can always provide thrillers and stories. This time it seemed for a long time that this game was going in the favor of the guest, who went up to a double-digit advantage in the second quarter, but suffered a 10-0 run from the other side, and then the difference increased again to 14 in the third quarter. The Heat were determined to come back and it happened in the final quarter, with a big turnaround and a 15-point lead towards the end, which wiped out the fight.

The Bucks continue with the instability as they have yet to put together two straight wins this season. The only one who maintains stability is Yannis Antecompo, who recorded a triple-double tonight of 26 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, but alone he failed to get along with the bunch from Florida. Goran Dragic (26), Am Adbaio (22 and 10 assists) and Tyler Hiro (21 and 15 rebounds) led the locals.

Dallas (3: 1) – Charlotte (2: 2) 118: 99
This is not the opening the Mavericks had hoped for, with a third loss this season from four games, and it seems that the huge historic victory over the Clippers in the previous game has already been forgotten. And it also seems that there are such nights when Luca Doncic does not deliver the goods, when this time he scored only 12 points in bad percentages. The Hornets, on the other hand, are enjoying their draft picks day in and day out, with Lamello Bull excelling with 22 points in his best game to date. The second half was completely under the control of the guest, who already led by 31 points.
