The deaths of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna affected the entire basketball world, which happened a year ago Tuesday. Indeed, among those devastated by the news was Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving, who developed a very close relationship with the Los Angeles Lakers legend.
Irving recently commented on Zoom’s call with reporters that he’s still thinking about his late-day friend and advisor. On Monday, the day before the anniversary of the passing of Kobe and Gianna Bryant, Irving made sure to pay homage to the basketball legend as the Nets prepare to take on the Miami Heat at the Barclays Center for the second time in three days.
Bryant’s last visit to the Barclays Center came on Dec. 21 when he and Gianna took over the Nets game against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks.
