The American rock band Kings of Leon is experiencing the real growth over non-fungible signals, widely known as NFTs.

The group announced the release of their latest album, “When You See Yourself,” in NFT format, making it one of the first bands to do so. Kings of Leon is offering its album package with vinyl and digital download for a token at a price of $ 50. It will be released Friday on YellowHeart (NFT ticket and music platform) and will be open for two weeks starting at noon ET. After those two weeks, no more will be done.

Kings of Leon is also offering more exclusive products as part of a series called “NFT Yourself.” People can apply for one of six “golden ticket” experiences, which will give fans four face-to-face sets. favorite show during each turn for life.

Crypto collectibles have become very popular recently. Ownership of these funds is registered on a blockchain – a digital ledger similar to the networks underlying bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. But unlike most virtual currencies, you could not exchange one NFT for another in the same way as dollar money or gold bars. Each NFT is unique and acts as a non-duplicable collection material, making them rare by design.

In terms of music, supporters suggest that NFTs could help artists struggling with digital piracy, low roaming royalty rates and a lack of tour revenue from the last year of Covid’s pandemic restrictions -19.
