Khabib Nurmagomedov believes Max Holloway has the potential to become the ‘best fighter ever’ after defeating Calvin Kattar.

The Hawaiian fighter received rave reviews from many in the MMA world including an undeveloped Nurmagomedov megastar who paid him the high praise.
‘The Eagle’ says ‘Blessed’ is one of the best fighters in the sport and thinks he’s not getting better, saying he could go down as the GOAT.
“I think about Max, he’s already one of the best competitors in MMA,” he told Full Reptile.
“It’s one of the best and probably the best featherweight ever. I think it was the best performance.
“When we look at Max, he’s not old but he has a lot of fighting in the UFC. I think his prime time is coming, he hasn’t come yet. Maybe this year or maybe next year this will be his prime time.
“Not when he was a hero, his time is going to come. He stays focused on doing everything he has to do.”
2 days agoNurmagomedov and Holloway were due to fight in 2018 until the latter withdrew due to weight-cutting issues.
And the Russian believes the 29-year-old’s time will come before he talks about his future.
The UFC light king said: “I really like Max, we were supposed to be fighting in 2018. I think his time is coming and the end of the year, maybe next year.
“It was his best performance; he ‘s more of a superhero today than he was a day or two ago.
“This was his best performance, but in the future, in a year or two he has a chance to show up and is probably the best fighter ever.”
