Zeev Elkin, until recently a Likud member and Minister of Water Resources, and currently candidate number three on the “New Hope” list for the Knesset, tried to join the “right” party before the establishment of Saar’s new party, Yaki Adamkar reported today (Monday) in Walla NEWS.

According to the publication in Walla, an associate of Elkin contacted Bennett and his people in the period between the dissolution of the Knesset and the establishment of a “new hope” and had several conversations with them on the subject. In one of them he stated that the appeal was made with Elkin’s knowledge. However, the chairman of the right rejected the proposal. According to Bennett, the addition of Elkin would not have contributed anything to the party.
Elkin For his part he denied. He told Walla that “the claim sounds delusional to me, at least I do not know any conversation between me or anyone on my behalf about joining the right. It is no secret that I was always on good terms with Bennett and Shaked, and if I wanted to join them they would probably be very happy, but I believe it. “Gideon Saar, with the experience, practical achievements and leadership ability he has, is the right man to replace Netanyahu and lead the State of Israel in the coming years.” On the right “Because of Elkin’s honor, we will not expand on the subject.”
The Likud has already been quick to attack those who until recently were particularly close to Netanyahu. MK Miki Zohar of the Likud, Deputy Speaker of the Knesset, tweeted on his Twitter account that “the truth always comes out, like opportunism.”

Truth always comes out, like opportunism.
Elkin moved from the front to the Likud, wanted to go to the right and ended up with Saar. Surprised?
I hope for him that this will be the last stop, surely it’s not easy with all these crossings.
