Jurgen Klopp explains what he said to Roberto Firmino after the late Liverpool winner

Jurgen Klopp says he was never worried about Roberto Firmino ‘s lack of goals after going to Liverpool to a 2-1 win over Tottenham.

After opener Mohamed Salah was sent off by Son Heung-min in the first half, he was left at Firmino to steal the show late.

The Brazilian stop-time winner was just his third of the season and both Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have outscored No. 9 at Anfield over the past two seasons.

Klopp, however, says he hopes Firmino will “never doubt himself” when a bare spell comes in and praises what he has contributed so much to Liverpool’s cause. .

“I just hope it never casts doubt, that there is so much talk about it but I said‘ Bobby, you’re on score ’,” Klopp said.

“He gets goals from those who are important and important to us. And it’s basically not who scores them because for us, the only thing that matters is the ball in the back of the net.

“For us it’s about the path, how we get there, things like crossing, passing, finishing. But making scratches to open the gaps, they’re not all there. see that.

He said: “It felt like a bit.

“I’m not too good last season now to be honest but I can understand people who think it was like last season.

“This was one of the best performances we’ve had in a while, that’s the way it is. We’ve been like some against Wolves, 10 days ago or whatever. .
