“After recording ‘Madreviolo’, I destroyed the cello I bought especially for this. It had to be a one-time thing for the version where I put my voice up to castrati records. But the original version with my unorganized calls, which felt like a necessary version to share alongside ‘Madreviolo’ needed a resolution that I could see but not hear. When I shared the cappella version with Oliver anxiety and chemistry were cowardly; where he took it felt like the place I was dreaming of but I couldn’t reach without it, ”said Arca about the EP NME.

The “Love Me Low” soundtrack features the final scene of the show, when Jules is at home and Rue (Zendaya) arrives in search of a happy holiday on her way to meet Ali (Colman Domingo ). As a Hunter published on Twitter, the series’ director, Sam Levinson, grabbed the alt-pop crooner for the show’s soundtrack.
Just like the scene it makes sound, “Love Me Low” is a tonal movement, while still sandwiched between heart elements. “Don’t let me go. Baby, don’t let me go. I can’t fight this feeling I get when I’m with you, ”Ai Bendr sings among bottle synths, starting on the lo-fi track. “I just want to be with you.”
“You know I love you. You don’t even know how I will miss you, ”is the song as Rue enters Jules’ room on that wet Christmas Eve. “Baby, I just want to kiss you. Wait, until the day is done. You don’t even know what I need for you. Baby, I just want to keep you with me. “
“‘ Love Me Low ’is a bittersweet song I wrote when I was 16 in high school, about loving someone you knew you had to leave,” Ai tells Teen Vogue. “I cut the calls in the boiler room of my house in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the time consumes between the boiler running and my sisters screaming! Euphoria this is one of the shows I watch, with no mind even enjoying, and I knew immediately that my voice would be perfect for him; with that accomplished now, well … that’s just amazing, and I’m very grateful. “
Hailing from Michigan and of Nigerian and Singaporean-Australian descent, the Los Angeles-based singer is now a new addition to the Interscope Records index. She is currently working on completely new music, and her first project is expected this year.
