Jose Mourinho called for statistical evidence after Marcus Rashford claimed the Tottenham boss had been taught how to get more penalties during his time at Manchester United.

‘Stats,’ replied Mourinho. ‘Go to Opta, go to my history as a manager in my Premier League season which is pretty much.

United have received 27 penalties in 118 games in all competitions under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to Opta. That compares with 19 in 143 games under the previous one.
