Joe Biden rounds President’s Day trip to Camp David and returns to White House by motorcade

President Joe Biden on Monday paid a visit to Camp David with his wife Jill and other family members, after spending the weekend celebrating Valentine’s Day and playing Mario Kart.

The president and first lady jumped on a short, 28-minute flight from Hagerstown, Maryland, to the Andrews Joint Base after spending the long holiday weekend at the main backyard there the mountains of Catoctin Mountain Park, in Frederick County, Maryland.

Biden was put out in primary gear for the trip, with an aviator brown jacket with the Air Force Seal on one side and a nameplate reading ‘Joe Biden Commander in Chief’ on the other.

He also had a hat that his grandchildren gave him. The front of the brown baseball cap says ‘Presidential Retreat Camp David’ and the back reads ‘Pop’ – that’s what Biden’s grandmothers call it.

‘We bought him a swag from the Presidents’ Day weekend and he’s President “literally”, his big daughter Naomi wrote on Twitter with pictures of Biden wearing the cap.

Naomi Biden returned with her grandparents, along with her boyfriend Peter Neal and her dog.

The president changed coats on the plane from his short aviator jacket to a longer dark coat.

The first lady wore a soft pink coat and snow boots. Both Bidens wore a face mask.

The Bidens took a strange route back to the White House. The trip to Camp David is usually made via Marine One from the South Lawn. But due to bad weather – it’s foggy and foggy in the Washington DC area – the first couple made the short flight to the JBA and then took the main motorcade home.

The two seemed to enjoy the trip so short. They spoke to crew members after landing at JBA.

And, when they boarded the main plane in Maryland, they were spotted stopping in the shade and looking at huts in either direction, sort of taking over the view.

In addition to his first Valentine’s Day as president, Biden also celebrated his first Presidential Day as President in Chief.

Jill Biden marked the event by tweeting a photo of Biden signing a piece of paper while sitting at the Secure Desk in the Oval Office.

Meanwhile, President Biden described Jill as the ‘love of his life’ in a soppy Valentine’s Day tweet.

The 78-year-old posted a picture of himself with his arms around his wife at the beginning of last month, writing: ‘Love my life and love my life. Happy Valentine’s Day to you, Jilly. ‘

The couple, who have been married for 44 years, spent the holiday weekend at the president’s country retreat in Maryland, to ‘just hang out with the family and ‘do what we always do,’ Biden told reporters.

His grandson Naomi, one of Hunter’s children, posted several pictures on social media, including Biden playing Mario Kart.

President Biden is busy ahead of him.

On Tuesday, he will travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for a CNN town hall meeting.

On Thursday, he will fly to Kalamazoo, Michigan to visit the Pfizer manufacturing site to visit with the workers making the COVID-19 vaccine.

On Friday, Biden will attend a groundbreaking meeting of G7 leaders to discuss COVID-19 pandemics and how you can rebuild the world economy. The virtual meeting, hosted by the United Kingdom, will also involve the leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the European Commission and the European Council.
