JJ Redick’s trade rumors focused on Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets: Report

Among previous reports the New Orleans Pelicans aimed at Lonzo Ball’s point-of-sale guard and JJ Redick’s firing guard, Chams ’Shams of The Athletic reports that the Pels are targeting three teams in the Northeast as destinations preferred for the 36-year-old sharp keeper.

Redick is in the final year of his contract, earning just over $ 13 million, but is struggling from the field. He gets just under eight points in the game in 20 minutes per match but shoots just under 30% from three and 33.6% from the field. The Pelicans are rebuilding and would prefer more minutes to go to young guards Nickiel Alexander-Walker and Kira Lewis.

The former Duke’s family has a family home in the DUMBO region of Brooklyn, which would make an obvious choice for the Nets with a salary almost the same in the Spencer Dinwiddie injured to trade.

Redick enjoyed two of the best seasons of his career with Philadelphia before leaving for New Orleans in a free agency before last season. Boston is currently ranked 20th in the NBA in 3-points scored per game and just 24th in attempts and may decide to target Redick before the March 25 trade deadline.

As Charania said, Redick was a healthy shot in the Pelicans’ previous two games.
