Jason Holder, Darren Bravo named in the West Indies Test squad

The West Indies have named a 13-man Test squad for the two-match series against Sri Lanka in the ICC World Test.

New captain Kraigg Brathwaite welcomes two top players who missed out on the Bangladesh series – all-round captain and outfielder Jason Holder as well as batsman Darren Bravo.

Commenting on the squad, Chief Elector Roger Harper said: “It is great to be able to put together a squad team with a number of players coming off some very good performances in their last series in Bangladesh. . Very confident. It is a unique opportunity to build on the good work that has been done in Bangladesh. It is very important to continue the process of working hard, playing with great passion, playing with determination and a great desire for success. By doing so consistently we will deliver the right results. ”

“Several players took the opportunity offered by the tour of Bangladesh and secured a place for themselves in the Test team for this series. This now means that there is a lot of competition for places that should better manage individual and team performance. I also think these players are looking forward to showcasing their skills on the home ground. ”

The first Test in the World Test Championship will begin March 21 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
