Jared Kushner was announced as a Nobel Peace Prize nominee thanks to the “Abraham Agreements”

Senior adviser and son-in-law of former President Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, was announced tonight (Monday) as a Nobel Peace Prize nominee along with his deputy Avi Berkowitz for their role in negotiating the four agreements to normalize relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco. “Abrahamic Agreements.”

The two’s nominees are Trump’s lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, who is qualified to do so in his role as Professor Emeritus at Harvard Law School. Kushner responded to the publication and said in a statement that he was “honored to be a candidate” for the award to be given in October.

As you may recall, last week the United Arab Emirates government announced that it had approved the decision to open an embassy in Tel Aviv, several months after the establishment of the normalization agreement with Israel. The Israeli embassy in the UAE was scheduled to open in Abu Dhabi as early as the beginning of last month, along with a consulate that was scheduled to open in Dubai, but there are currently no new updates on an exact date.

Later this month, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu plans to fly for his first diplomatic visit to the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, which is expected to be the first open visit by an Israeli prime minister to one of the Gulf states, so there is a chance that the Israeli embassy will open in Abu Dhabi.
