Tomarkin, 28, who is married and the father of two daughters, is an Israeli Olympic swimmer, champion and Israeli champion in swimming, and is considered one of the best Israeli swimmers of all time, holding the Israeli record in a large number of events.

Tomarkin will fill the position of head of swimming at the school in place of the outgoing head of the field, Hanan Gilad. As part of his new role as head of department, Tomarkin will lead the array of coaching courses and instructors in the swimming industry taught at the school. This is in light of his rich experience in the competitive swimming world, his training as a coach and his successful work over the past three years in the traditional “summer factories” of the Wingate Institute.
