“The victim was feared by the defendant because of his position of power in his community,” U.S. Deputy Attorney Erin Reid wrote in the memo, urging federal judge Daskal to lock in without bail awaiting trial.

In the fall of 2017, Daskal helped the victim find a new school in Chicago, Illinois, where she moved and lived with a local family, the court document says.

He reportedly kept in touch with the young girl, asking her to send him nude photos and strip him during Skype sessions, court papers prosecution.
