Ivanka Trump shares a new family photo as she wishes fans a Merry Christmas

Ivanka Trump has given fans a Merry Christmas and shared a new family photo – two days after President Trump forgave his father-in-law, Charles Kushner.

The First Daughter – who converted to Judaism before marrying her husband Jared Kushner – took the knot to Twitter to celebrate Christian holidays.

‘Merry Christmas!’ the 39-year-old wrote above the Christmas photo, which was taken at the White House and showed her standing next to her husband and father.

Three children of Ivanka and Jared – Arabella, nine; Joseph, seven; and Theodore, three – also included in the image.

Ivanka usually looked chic in a long camel coat and maroon turtleneck, while Jared cut a more casual figure in a navy zip-up coat.

President Trump also managed to laugh despite his ongoing questions to reverse the results of the November election.

The photo is believed to have been taken earlier in the week, as the President and First Lady are celebrating their Miami holiday.

It is certainly a merry Christmas for the Kushner clan, after the President fully forgave his son – in – law ‘s father on Wednesday.

Jared’s father, Charles Kushner, 66, is a a wealthy estate agent who spent 14 months in prison back in the mid-2000s after pleading guilty to 18 counting of illegal enterprise donations, tax evasion, and obstruction of witnesses

The White House issued a statement announcing the pardon announcing his philanthropic work since leaving prison.

At the time of his arrest, Kushner was one of the most prominent fundraisers for the Democratic party, often holding events for the likes of President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore .

In 2001, the biggest contributor to New Jersey Governor James McGreevey ‘s campaign was helping him win and nominate himself as chairman of the New York and New Jersey Port Authority.

He was also deeply involved in the Jewish community, helping synagogues and schools.

Then came His wondrous fall from grace.

In 2003, federal prosecutors began investigating him for making illegal campaign donations.

Kushner then learned that his brother-in-law and business partner William Schulder was cooperating with prosecutors.

He caught a plot to pay a sex worker $ 10,000 to seduce Schulder at a restaurant in New Jersey and then lure him to her hotel room.

The illegal incident was then filmed with a secret camera and the tape was sent to an anonymous Kushner to Schulder’s wife – his own sister – Esther in a ploy to stop the couple testifying.

The famous couple received the tape while preparing for their son’s binding party.

But the plot failed and Kushner ended up instead barring witnesses to his allegations.

Kushner finally pleaded guilty to 18 counts including tax evasion and obstruction of evidence. He was sentenced to two years in prison – the most he could get under oath.

Then U.S. lawyer Chris Christie had sought a longer sentence but Kushner struck a two-year long oath contract.

He spent 14 months in a low-security prison in Alabama.

Meanwhile, Ivanka and Jared seemed very pleased with news of Charles Kushner’s forgiveness.

Friday’s Christmas family photo wasn’t the first holiday image to have been shared since the news broke.

On Christmas Eve, Ivanka shared a series of glamorous snaps in which she cozied up to Jared in a glamorous black ball gown.

Jared was able to keep the smile off his face while wearing a black tuxedo for a ritzy Christmas event.

The couple are celebrating the season at Mar-a-Lago.

President Trump was pictured Christmas morning heading out to the golf course with Republican senator Lindsey Graham.
