Last year, for the first time WWE had WrestleMania with no fans within their own Performance Center. Unable to help, with the COVID-19 epidemic sweeping the globe, the company did everything they could to make sure the show happened. However, WWE legend Triple H acknowledged that WrestleMania 36 did not feel like the incredible event expected by the fighting world.
Triple H is one of the most iconic WWE Superstars ever. He has been against the company all his life. Now, he has moved to a backstage position, as he is serving in an executive position with the company. In fact, Stephanie McMahon is the daughter of the WWE Chairman, and is the company ‘s chief brand officer.
Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated recently sat down with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to discuss this year’s WrestleMania, returning fans, and more. In one of the most famous parts of the interview, Triple H admitted that last year’s show didn’t feel like WrestleMania.
“I find it hard to imagine last year’s show in the Performance Center as WrestleMania. Amazing times happened, but that was not the scene we were used to. Before last year, could you consider making WrestleMania without fans? We do what we do because of our fan base. I take the opportunity to have just a few fans there. This year, we will do something as special as we can, as safe as possible. ”
