Israeli Adesanya expresses greatest regret from his fight against Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259

Israel Adesanya lost his design at the lightweight title in the main event at UFC 259, when he got out with Jan Blachowicz.

In a recent interview with ESPN, Israel Adesanya spoke of the regrets in his fight against Jan Blachowicz.

The UFC middleweight champion said he would have been better off if he had visited a few special opportunities instead of being cautious. Speaking about his two moments of remorse late in the fight, Israel Adesanya told Ariel Helwani:

My biggest regret from the fight … There were two situations I felt I should have taken advantage of, and I wasn’t because… couldn’t I took advantage of them because I felt like he was jumping on me. That is all I can say about it. So I didn’t make much use of it, but in hindsight, I should have been killed anyway, or I should have taken action anyway because he was tired too. Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like BT aint for me either. But yeah, I think that’s my biggest regret about the fight, just not pulling the trigger in those two main moments in the fourth and fifth rounds. I didn’t pull the trigger, yes, ”laments Israel Adesanya.
