Israel was seen in a prisoner-to-prison exchange near the Lebanese border

A woman who returned to Israel as part of a prison exchange agreement with Syria last week was seen near the Lebanese border in October last year, a Lebanese reported on Sunday.

Photos published by a Lebanese journalist linked to Hezbollah are said to show the young woman in a civil jeep with the windows rolled down a border road.

Israel was seen in a prisoner-to-prison exchange near the Lebanese border

Photos from a Hezbollah-linked reporter show the woman returned Israel in a prisoner-to-prison swap contract with Syria last week

“Remember it was a female soldier who got close to the fence? She is the one who was exchanged in a prisoner’s contract with Syria,” he wrote.

At that time a peak came between the IDF and Hezbollah, with Iran ‘s agent preparing for a revenge attack in retaliation for the death of one of his militants in the Damascus airfield that was handed over to Israel in July.

At the time, IDF soldiers were told not to get too close to the border fence so as not to make “targets” for Hezbollah.

The woman’s appearance may have led Shiite militants to think she was a soldier in civilian clothes, as part of an intelligence mission or as a practice to force them to attack.

Hezbollah reportedly did not open fire on her for fear of being a civilian.

Sources told Ynet that an IDF officer saw the woman and told her to drive away from the area for her own safety.
