Israel on Tuesday sent 8,261 daily new coronavirus cases confirmed a day earlier, meaning all eleven tests came back positive.
The Ministry of Health said it conducted 92,958 tests on Monday, setting the national contagion rate at 9.2%. In the Haredi region the infection rate is much higher at 17.8%.

The ministry said 1,094 patients were in a critical condition, of which 316 were ventilated. The official death toll is now 4,816.
In Israel, there are currently 71,618 active patients ill with the disease. At least 12,150 of them live in Jerusalem, 4,432 in Bnei Brak, 2,683 in Modi’in Illit, 2,396 in Petah Tikva, 2,303 in Tel Aviv-Yafo, 2,177 in Beit Shemesh, 2,004 in Ashdod, 1,390 in Rishon Lezion, 1,304 in Holon, 1,301 in Haifa, 1,243 in Netanya, 1,121 in Rehovot, 1,093 in Be’er Sheva, 967 in Beitar Illit, 951 in Elad, 929 in Elad Ashkelon and 906 in Kiryat Gat.
Over the past week, there has been a 21% drop in the number of probation cases in Jerusalem, a 15% drop in Bnei Brak and a 21% drop in Modi’in Illit.

In Tel Aviv, however, a 21% increase in new infections was recorded. In Ashdod, 19% increase, in Holon, 21%, in Rishon Lezion, 18% and in Rehovot 17%.
Meanwhile, 3,165,400 Israelis (34.35%) have received the first dose of the coronavirus and 1,824,525 people (19.8%) have been given the second dose. Since the vaccination campaign began, 4,989,925 vaccines have been given.
In the general sector, 82% of people over 60 have received the vaccine so far, and in the Haredi region that figure is 66%.
