Israel Women’s Team (Hadar Van Kula)
Israel’s women’s team finished today (Sunday), their way to the World Cup qualifiers, after a loss to Ukraine 31:24, in the third and decisive game of promotion to the playoffs (previously the team defeated the host Luxembourg and lost yesterday against Slovakia). Shir and Karat with 8 goals, Mor Shaul 7, Amit Isaac and Shira Jerby 3 each, Tali Barel 2 and Keren Teplitzky 1 were the conquerors today. Farrow (the team will meet Farrow and Finland, with the first at home qualifying for the second stage of the qualifiers).
Tomorrow, the first round games of the State Cup will take place: MK Beer Sheva to Hapoel Kiryat Ono (19:30), AK Nes Ziona to Maccabi Dimona (20:00), Maccabi Rishon LeZion to Rehovot (20:15), Maccabi Tel Aviv A. to Kiryat Motzkin (20:30) and between MK Holon and Bnei Herzliya (20:30). The 5 winners will be drawn in the quarterfinals, together with AS SGS Ramat Hasharon, Hapoel Altshuler Shaham Rishon LeZion and Hapoel SP Ashdod – who qualified for the top three at the end of the first round of the Winner League.
