JERUSALEM
Israel reported Friday that a further 5,804 coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours were among ongoing efforts to provide COVID-19 vaccine to its people.
The Ministry of Health said in their daily meeting on the virus update that the number of infections across Israel has jumped to 426,749, including 3,338 deaths.
The report said active cases currently account for 45,373 – including 678 in critical health conditions and 168 air-conditioned patients.
Meanwhile, Israel is continuing the vaccination campaign where 950,000 of its population took photos as of Friday.
Israel began its COVID-19 vaccination campaign in December, starting with the health workers and citizens over 60.
