Israel Adesanya went live on his Instagram logo to commemorate his UFC 234 classic against Anderson Silva. ‘The Last Stylebender’ went on to fondly remember the fight on its second anniversary.
Israel Adesanya won the victory of a unanimous decision against the image of youth in the main event at UFC 234 in Melbourne, Australia. The two accepted and put on a show of full respect after the fight. Speaking with his fist back to end the fighting, Israel Adensanya said:
“I pulled it back causing I didn’t know but I was like that, I love you ….. (works crying) All feelings, all feelings.”
The two elite strikers had the same style and put on an elegant show. The fight was widely regarded as passing the torch from one generation to the next. Going back to an important moment in his life, Israel Adesanya recalled:
This was my fifth fight in 365 days in the UFC and it told me words that were very clever at this point. He told me – I’ll give you the baton. I tell you this is a landmark in history. I think I need the framed picture too
Israel Adesanya had a fan minute in the octagon
Israel Adesanya has always admitted that he is a huge fan of Anderson Silva. He had previously admitted that he not only watched the replay of the classics multiple times but that he was likely to see more than any fight he had ever fought in the UFC.
In his recent Instagram video, Israel Adesanya also mentioned that he had been feeling ‘upset in the force’ ahead of Anderson Silva’s title defense against Chael Sonnen at UFC 148. Silva did not the rock in the first round but believe it. While talking about the importance of the fighting and the terrible feeling that surrounded it, Israel Adesanya said:
“I had this cunning baby moment. The boy watching this boy fights so much in, in his presence he feels very vulnerable … (I expressed my gratitude Because he did a lot of encouragement from watching him fight, it was a special fight for me, I got a title after this fight, but it was like my title would fight. This felt through …. This felt to me like I did it. “
