Cold War Outbreak mode is a modern squad based Zombies experience set in a very large environment and spread across the Ural Mountains. Players will be able to squad up, explore large locations, unlock new weapons and items and most importantly, cut down tags of Zombies. In the mode, players find themselves competing against dangerous tests to survive and progress through the next levels.

The latest mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War – Exit is not going to be a time-limited mode, and will be available to players in the Cold War as a permanent addition in Season 2. The only limited thing about this is the challenge / event. CharlieINTEL Twitter account Call of Duty said the Outbreak Mode is here to stay and will be available in the Cold War permanently after the launch of S2. Now for the Outbreak event, it runs until March 11, so there are a total of two weeks to complete the challenges in this event.

  • Events
    • Free Trial (February 25 – March 4)
    • Celebrating the launch of Season Two with free access to a new Zombies experience called Outbreak, fully functional Multiplayer maps (including the new Apocalypse map), and more in the Cold Black War Ops between February 25 and March 4. Onslaught is also available with PlayStation owners during this access period as well.
    • Revolutionary Challenge Event (February 25 – March 11)
    • Earn Charms, Stickers, Badges, Call Cards, and Weapon Blueprints by completing challenges in Warzone and in Black Ops Cold War Revolution mode. This event can be seen within the main menu of Warzone, Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer, and Zombies.
