Irrfan Khan ‘s latest film, The Song of Scorpions, is in preparation for its release

Get ready to see Irrfan Khan on the big screen one last time with The Song of Scorpions. Written and directed by Anup Singh, the film, which is “a tale of complex love, revenge and the relentless power of song”, also features Golshifteh Farahani, Waheeda Rehman and Shashank Arora.

Song of the Scorpions will be released in early 2021 by Panorama Spotlight along with 70 MM Talkies.

While The Song of Scorpions is not the last project Irrfan has fired, it is certainly the last film of his career that will see the light of day. Song of Scorpions premiered at the 70th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland in August 2017.

The film follows Nooran (Farahani), an independent tribal woman who learns the ancient healing art of scorpion singing from her grandmother Zubeidaa (Rehman). According to legend, if a scorpion bites you, you will die if a scorpion singer does not sing her song and heal you.

The character of Irrfan Khan Aadam is an Aadam camel trader who is in love with Nooran.

Commenting on the release of The Song of Scorpions, Abhishek Pathak, Producer and Director of Panorama Spotlight, said in a statement, “Song of Scorpions is a special story, and we are honored to present Irrfan’s latest production. Khan presented it. We offer this film to the audience in praise of the beloved Indian cinema star. Irrfan Khan was last seen in Angrezi Medium, which released in March this year.
